Baby Shower and Improv Musical

Hello, all. Jake here, making my debut post here on our blog. It's great to be here. Faith and I decided it would finally be my turn to post some recent events from our life for all you cool cats in cyberspace. Enjoy...

So, to start out, no. Faith is not pregnant. The "baby shower" mentioned in the title is for our sister-in-law, Aubree. We'll get to that in a second. Before we go into that, I'll give you an idea about what our day was like today before going to said shower. This morning we went over to Faith's parent's house to practice a song that Mom P., Faith, and another member of her parent's ward are singing for their Relief Society birthday party. I was asked to play the piano for it, which should prove plenty awkward come Wednesday night when we perform it. That all went well, and they sound fantastic.

After that we made an impromptu trip to look at a house with Faith's brother and sister-in-law and their family. We're in the house-hunting business ourselves, so we thought it'd be fun to tag along. (Oh, and a house that Faith's parents put an offer on was accepted and it looks like we'll be renting it from them come summer. Whoopee!) It was a nice house. They hope to get it.

After all that, we went to Mom C.'s house and loaded up the car to go to Brigham City for the baby shower. Kylee came along for the ride, too. I went because Travis (the proud papa) wanted someone to hang out with while his wife was hobnobbing with her friends and family. So while Mom C., Kylee, and Aubree were partying, Travis and I tore up the town and went bowling and geocaching!

Aubree with her gifts from the Clarks (we got her a diaper genie, and some awesome diapers with a notch in them for the umbilical chord. -Faith)

Mom C. and Kylee (and Aubree's Grandpa)

Travis and TBD ball

Tie!! And a juggling bowling pin.

What a cache!

After the shower, which had some pretty good eats that Jake and Travis were able to sample after they got back from their man-party (this is Faith, BTW), we had to hit the road so Kylee could make it to "Man of La Mancha" and Jake and I could get to the West Jordan's Improvised Musical Performers' show at the City Hall. Jake was to be their accompanist, making the musical part of their show possible, and amazing.

Hilariously enough, we had the rare opportunity of passing the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile on the freeway!! Of course we took a picture of this prodigious moment.

Jake tickling the plastics at the IMPs show.
He was, how you say, scrumtrulescent.
Here's a clip of one of the short-form games the IMPs did. While trying to diffuse a bomb, two of the actors are only able to say what they read in the phones volunteered by the audience.
(warning: Jake isn't in this. But it's still pretty funny)
